Relaxing
Therapeutic Massage
At BACK in MOTION PV we offer the only relaxing clinical therapeutic massage service in Puerto Vallarta.
The objective is to achieve a mechanical and physical effect on the muscles, tendons, ligaments and the circulatory and lymphatic systems. The stimuli applied to the skin that travel through the sensory pathways reach the central nervous system, reaching various areas in the spinal cord and brain areas, causing functional changes in the body.
These changes are perceived in the skin, which when stimulated releases a substance causing blood vessels to increase. Therefore, the temperature increases by 3°C. The heat generated causes softeningand relaxation of the tissues.
Through the circulatory and lymphatic system, some substances that are generated by the skin stimulation of the massage travel and are distributed throughout the body, exerting beneficial effects on the organs and systems, significantly increasing blood circulation in the skin and muscles; effect that is also obtained by the opening of the capillaries due to the friction of the skin due to the massage. This effect collaborates with blood return to the heart and helps oxygenation and improves cellular metabolism, promoting the elimination of cellular waste.
The relaxing therapeutic massage recovers the condition of the tense muscle thanks to the improvement of metabolism. Relaxed muscles stop putting pressure on the lymphatic vessels and blood, helping the expulsion of chemical elements that cause muscle fatigue.By eliminating The waste from the cells causes the venous and capillary systems to open, bringing in a large amount of oxygen and nutrients that will improve the functional state of the muscles.
Another effect of relaxing therapeutic massage in BMPV is the improvement of blood supply in the joints and in the synovial fluid, it also increases the elasticity of the ligaments, achieving a better range of motion of the joint and its structures. . In the nervous system it improves the ability to receive good stimuli reducing chronic pain.
Due to the sensory stimuli and motor responses of the nervous system, relaxation is achieved and the effectiveness of the body’s functionality is increased.

Dry
Needling
Did you know Dry Needling Therapy reduces muscle tightness and pain, increases blood flow and oxygenation, improves range of motion, and stimulates neurological responses that modulate pain signals?
It releases tension in tight muscles and stimulates the nervous system, dry needing can decrease both localized and referred pain. It also improves the muscle function by releasing tight muscle bands. This therapy technique promotes vasodilation in the affected area, increasing blood flow, oxygenation, and nutrient delivery, which support healing process.
Dry needling can trigger a localized twitch response in muscles, which stimulates nerve fibers and helps alter pain perception by reducing the transmission of pain signals. It also enhanced healing by decreasing muscle tension, reducing pain, and increasing blood flow, dry needling can accelerate the healing process and promote faster recovery, especially for musculoskeletal conditions.
What we treat at BMPV
How does it work?
Inserting a thin, sterile needle into a myofascial trigger point can cause an involuntary spinal reflex, a local twitch response. This action helps to normalize muscle fiber length and tension. The needling process activates mechanoreceptors and can influence central and peripheral sensitization to pain, leading to a decrease in pain signals.
This procedure can lead to the release of endorphins and other chemicals that influence pain perception and muscle relaxation. This process can help alleviate pain, reduce muscle tightness, and improve function.
Which common conditions can be treated?
We can help patients who suffer from whiplash, disk issues, pinched nerve, lower back pain, shoulder or neck pain, headaches, muscle strains, tightness, stiffness, tendinitis, tennis elbow or Achilles tendinitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, hip or chronic degenerative joint deseases, epicondylitis, fibromyalgia, disorders affecting the jaw, post surgical pain.

Shockwaves
Did you know shockwaves promotes the body’s natural healing process to relieve pain and restore function in musculoskeletal conditions like tendinopathies, plantar fasciitis, muscle strains and chronic back pain?
It achieves by stimulating tissue repair, promoting new blood vessel growth, and breaking down calcifications and scar tissue through high-energy acoustic waves.
This non-invasive treatment offers an alternative for patients with chronic injuries, enhancing tissue regeneration and function.
What we treat at BMPV
How does it work?
The mechanical energy of the shockwaves triggers cells in the injured tissues to release growth factors. It also increases blood supply to the injured area, which is essential for healing and tissues repair.
The mechanical force of the shockwave can break down adhesions and scar tissue, improving flexibility and function. This can help regulate the inflammatory response
in the tissues.
How effective is it?
Many patients, even after the first treatment, feel significantly better!
Which common conditions can be treated?
- Tendinopathies: Achilles tendinopathy, tennis elbow, plantar fasciitis, etc.
- Ligament injuries: such as those affecting the joints.
- Muscle pain and spams: providing relief from muscle tension and strains.
- Myofascial pain syndrome: reducing pain and improving function in affected muscles.
- Carpal tunnel syndrome: relieving pressure on nerves and reducing associated pain.
- Chronic back pain: reducing pain from sciatic, herniated discs, degenerative conditions, etc.
- Sports injuries: muscle strains, bursitis, hip flexor tendinosis, tear of rotator cuff, etc.
What does the shockwave therapy feel like? Is it painful?
Patients will experience a number of fast pulses and some warmth. As we treat tissue
with energy, blood flow increases, so there may be some bruising with tissue.
Who is not a candidate for shockwave therapy?
Patients who suffer from coagulation disorders, thrombosis, tumor diseases, pregnancy, polyneuropathy among others.
Neural Therapy
Did you know Neural Therapy offers benefits, such as pain reduction, improved mobility, and tissue healing by stimulating the nervous system and interrupting pain signals?
Techniques like neural mobilization improves tissue extensibility and flexibility. Injections of local anesthetics are thought to provide an anti-inflammatory effect and regulate the autonomic nervous system, aiming to address the root cause of pain rather than just symptoms.
What we treat at BMPV
What are the effects?
Neural therapy is used to alleviate various types of pain, including scar, chronic and nerve-related pain. It also reduces nerve adherence and restores normal nerve function. The application of local anesthetics may improve tissue vascularity. Patients
report a softening of scar tissue and decreased muscle tension after the treatment.
How effective is Neural Therapy applied at BMPV?
Neural therapy shows promising results in the management of chronic pain, such as lower back pain, fibromyalgia, muscle injuries in the shoulders, hips, and knees, as well as reducing the need for painkillers in some patients. Improvement can be immediate, within seconds or gradual, with greater effectiveness achieved with repeated sessions. Although this innovative therapy shows excellent benefits in lower back pain or knee injuries such as gonarthrosis, it continues to be studied to provide more high-quality scientific evidence to support its effectiveness beyond an auxiliary placebo effect.
At BMVP, we have qualified and certified staff to apply neural therapy to our patients, always with the highest standards of asepsis, quality, and commitment.
How does it work?
These technique is believed to exert an anti-inflammatory effect that is independent of their anesthetic properties, influencing cytokines and the immune system. By targeting specific areas, neural therapy seeks to correct communication disorders in the autonomic nervous system that my contribute to various illnesses and conditions.
